94 - Deep ruby red with violet tinges, vintage ‘98 is one of the best Sagrantino 25 anni ever made. Very complex, intense and long on the nose, with aromas of fruits of the wood, liquorice and spices, especially black pepper. Very concentrated and full bodied on the mouth, with elegant oaky and fruity notes; an incredibly long finish with a balsamic aftertaste of liquorice and eucalyptus; wonderfully balanced. Superb.
